This cave is well lit, sunlight streaming down through and improbable skylight in the ceiling. Probably mage spelled there.
In one corner is a nest like bed, the blankets crumpled and peppered with grey hairs. Curled up asleep on it is a strange little creature.
It twitches in it's sleep but doesn't make a sound... it is with a start you realise that it is probably because the beast doesn't have a mouth!
Along it's neck a fluffy mane of blue feathers stands on end, the downy quills near the base of each drifting slightly as it breaths. You resist the urge to pat it and look around further.
In the far corner is a sturdy table, set on it is a large redwood box containing what appears to be a miniature garden.
Beside the table is a doorway cut into the stone wall leading outside, sunlight spilling in accompanied by the scent of lavendar wafted in on a warm breeze, stirring a few moulted coppery feathers that drift across the sandy floor.
On a closer wall you can see a cork board with a few faded ribbons, yellowed certificates and tarnished medals pinned to it. Probably awards that either Darkhorse or the Tir have won in the past.
Beside it is a few book shelves with topics ranging from fantasy novels to studying anatomy and animals of Australia. Beneath these is yet another shelf, sitting upon this one are several custom made beanie babys. Stiffling a giggle you recognise several as caricatures of Tir inhabitants.
There doesn't seem to be much more here right now... Darkhorse is out and so you may as well go out into the garden or through the tunnels.
The Nukbati species are my own creation. Do NOT take them tks!!
