As you move uphill to the North the air becomes sharp with the smell of pine needles and snow. Around you the lofty cedar trees are replaced with tall stately conifers and the temeperature drops rapidly. Your breath pluming before you like a frost thane you continue on into the cold forest, no sign of other life in sight.
As though the Shanel heralded as return of wild life to this area you become aware of eyes watching you though when ever you turn to look they seem to melt away. Flakes of fine snow drifting down catch on your hair and lashes, the snow melting to nothing as it touches the ground. Moving into the shelter of one of the larger trees as the snowfall becomes heavier you find you are truely not alone.
"Ullo. Caught me napping." She grins. "Well come to the snow pines. This is where most of the more lupyne of the Tir's inhabitants prefer to prowl." She trots out into the falling snow, pausing to look back towards you. "Come on, I'll show you some place dry and warm where you can thaw for a while." She trots off Northwest wards leaving you to either follow, return to the warmer Cedar forest, follow the faintly marked path that appears to lead to the North East, up hill or head North West where the forest seems to thin out. |
