This part of the forest is bright with tropical flowers. Bird of paradise plants and tree hugging orchids flourish, making vivid splashes of colour against the lush, dark green of the rain forest's vegetation.
You stumble, a toe catching on a jutting object and realise that the path you follow was once paved though many of the flagstones are broken, missing or buried in silt and leaf litter. The path abruptly opens into a roughly circular opening and you are greeted by the sound of falling water.
In the centre of what appears was once a court yard, is a weather worn fountain. Obviously spell set to keep the water flowing and clean the catchment basin is filled with water poppies and you can see a few ruddy goldfish beneath the surface.
Looking around you begin to see other signs that this was once a part of an established estate. Chunks of crumbling masonry and rubble are half hidden by overgrowing vegetation... It's almost as if this was once, long, long ago, a part of a city's roadways.
Another realisation sinks in ans you notice the rippling colours that line the vegetation around the clearing.
This place is full of butterflys!
They hover near the edges of the courtyard, startled by your arrival, their multicoloured wings flutter in a myriad of colours.
A bright flit of colour darts past your nose before spiralling away then a dragonfly skims past, hovering over the water before resting on the lip of the catchment basin.
Edging closer you realise it isn't a dragonfly at all but a papillion horse stallion! He preens his irridescent wings before taking off once more and joining a swift of butterflies... only now you realise that they are Papillion horses too! You are in a glade full of them!
A glimmer of metal to the left side of the glade catches your eye... You could go have a look, continue on across the glade, past the fountain and on along the Western trail, take the narrow South-West path or return to the forest
The faeven'zimi fountain are both (c) to me Do NOT take it: it was created for this web page alone!!.
