You walk out of the dappled shade of the thinning forest and out onto the plains with Allani walking beside you with an energetic, swinging stride, her flaxen lion like tail cheerfully. The rolling plains extend towards the horizon to the North. Right here the ground is thickly turfed with snowgrass but further out there are patches of longer grasses and a few dotted copses of trees and rocky outcrops. The air is fresh with the scent of earth and grass along with a tinge of eucalyptus from the forest. In the distance the plains appear to grow golden: perhaps yellower grasses or sand. To the West lies, like a crumbling giant vertabrae, a great mountain range that creates a partial division across the Tir. It is a strange but beautiful pale blue colour, perhaps due to the distance, and extends some way into the thicker part of the forest. To the East the forest curls around a the plains a little and a faint glimmer indicates a large lake of sorts, dark rocky ledges rise like a crown behind it. Even from here you can see a few tiny dragon like shapes in the distance, basking near the shore. Allani lets out a small noise to catch your attention, you focus on the immediate area and notice a tall silvery pah'llock stallion stands nearby. He cocks his head and tilts his ears in a welcoming smile. | |
"Dizro K'zarti. I am Zimi's'tai, the stallion of the Clan of the New Dawn. I see you have met Allani." He inclines his head to a point beside you and you glance there. Allani has gone. All that is left are a few cloven hoofprints in a patch of dirt near you. "She comes and goes like the wind, a wanderer. Pay it no mind. She will appear again if something interesting happens or when she feels like it." He grins again then his smile fades. "She may sometimes seem overly flippant but Allani is perhaps one of the most driven creatures alive in the Tir. It was she that found me out in the web worlds and showed me the way home, as she has found others and continues to seek them. Allani is the Tir's lorekeeper, she remembers our past, some say that her memories extend to before the Tir but she will not speak of those times." He shakes out his snowy mane.

"But enough of this. Dizro yain athna k'tir, welcome to the plains. This is where my clan, that of the New Dawn pastures." He indicates a chestnut equine shape in the near distance, grazing. "Rah'ktich is just o'er there as is our clan's warrioress, Yivna" He nods to the pinto mare who appears to be dancing ferociously nearby. "Tarben'anu, the Spirit Singer is probably near the lake."
Zimi's'tai shakes out his ivory mane. "Both Simahron and I have agreed to foster out foals from our clans to ensure that our species is wide spread enough incase another disaster, like the Bulette's attack, descends upon the Tir."
He tosses his head, indicating a cresent of clearing at the edge of the forest to the West, near a rockface, you think you can make out a circle of small stones and a dark shape sitting upon one. "Any being. It was decided, back in the days of Tz'rhiannoc, that Mahnon Pah'llock foals would be fostered out to spread members of our species to other worlds so we would be less at risk of extinction. Now that many are out there we have decided to lessen the numbers we foster. Much work must be done in the Tir and neither Allani nor Darkhorse have a great deal of time to spare right now so fosterlings will be a little more sporadic. There is a message board at the Gather area where notes on such things will be posted. Foundlings and Fosterings too." He looks at the sun. "I have kept thee long enough. There is much to see in the Tir. I will not slow thee further K'zarti. Binath'kaya."
He strolls away to resume watch over his clan, leaving you to return to the forest.
