You teeter unsteadily, continuing along the Cracktail ridge, searching for a way down into the gulley. The wind begins to pick up once more and you feel all the more unbalanced. As far along the ridge as you can see the way into the gulley remains impassable.
As you take your next step your foot descends on a round stone and you stumble, your footing too treacherous to regain your balance unable to stop yourself you fall sideways. Fingers scrabbling for purchase on the scree slope as it gives way underneath you, throwing more jagged rocks down after you as you are send down the ridge side towards the desert on the Eastern side.
You close your eyes tight as you tumble down the slopes, bumping against the hard and sometimes sharp rock. There is a sickening crunch as you bounce off a boulder and pain flames in your arm but you barely have time to think about it before you strike something hard with your head and all is black... forever.
You would have be wiser to listen to your own instincts and trust the words of the creatures who live here
It is a shame that you learn, too late, that the Tir'na'bainne'gile'lair can be as dangerous as it is beautiful.
